Realtor Spotlight: Melissa Hernandez and Lauren Perrine

This month, we are featuring not one, but two talented realtors! Melissa Hernandez and Lauren Perrine with Premier Living Properties make up a local real estate team here in the Fox Valley. How long have you been in the real estate industry?
My sister (Lauren) and I became a real estate team about a 1 1/2 years ago. Lauren has over 10 years-experience working as an interior decorator/home stager and has worked in depth with clients from construction to interior finishes. Lauren’s eye for detail and what buyers are looking for give our team a huge advantage over other agents. I (Melissa) have worked as the president for the chamber of commerce for the past 11 years. My expertise of marketing, networking and the community add another advantage point for working with the Sister’s Team!

What made you decide to become a realtor?
Lauren and I decided to join the industry as a way to share our expertise and love of real estate and the communities with others!

What differentiates you from other realtors?
I tell people, our biggest offering is two great agents for the price of one. Between Lauren’s experience with staging and home decorating and decor and my knowledge of marketing and networking, our clients are getting one great team! We work with the photographer to stage your house and make sure your photos on-line get you noticed.  You also have the peace of mind knowing that someone will always be available to show you houses, answer your questions or just offer some support during what can be a difficult time. Plus, our affiliation with The Leading Real Estate Companies of the World offers us unparallel access for marketing and networking with agents across the globe!

What piece of advice would you give someone looking to buy a new house?
The best advice I can offer someone looking for a home is make a list. Your “Must-Haves” verses your “I Could Live without”. Narrowing down your search can save you a huge headache. More is not always more and sometimes looking at so many houses can just make the decision that much harder.

What is your favorite thing to do in the area? 

Nothing says the Fox Valley in the summer like summer festivals. Between the music, activities and food, they never get old. I would say I visit close to 15 different summer festivals and look forward to them all winter long!
